West Wycombe Trails is an exciting community event that will start and finish at West Wycombe Park.

The course is multi-terrain and completely off road race around the beautiful grounds of West Wycombe Park. The 5k run is open to everyone from the age of 13+ years and the 10K for those of 16+ and over on or before the race date.

The organising team comprises members of Hazlemere Runners, a friendly running group providing safe and supportive run coaching for the local community by qualified leaders and coaches.

West Wycombe Trails is proud to be supported by many local sponsors, friends, family and volunteers.

Profits from the race will go to Child Bereavement UK, whose patron, Lady Dashwood, has kindly agreed to allow us to use the park grounds. Child Bereavement UK supports families and educates professionals when a baby or child of any age dies or is dying or when a child faces bereavement. Race information

The race car parking, assembly, registration, start and finish are all in the historic grounds of West Wycombe Park by kind permission of Sir Edward Dashwood, 20th Bt. Lady Dashwood is a patron of Child bereavement UK and profits from the races will be donated to the charity.

The course takes runners out of the park and into the extensive West Wycombe Estate and the Chiltern Hills. Course image here.

Without a doubt this is a most scenic yet challenging course over a 5k circuit. The 10k will cover 2 laps.

The route will be sign posted and marshalled at all key points to ensure that you follow the correct pathways and to ensure your safety.

The route includes a wide range of terrain from grass to gravel and woodland but never at any point will you need to run on a public road.

A water station will be located at the finish so that runners in the 10K can take water at the half way point and all runners at the finish. The start finish area is located on a large field, as directed by marshals on the day.

West Wycombe Trail is run predominantly on private land, the majority of which cannot be accessed by trail runners at any other time of the year. You get to enjoy mixed terrains including forest tracks, single tracks, moorland, fields, possibly some tarmac (but as little as possible), and maybe even a stream crossing! (if it rains heavily). All though the lovely estate of West Wycombe Park, thanks to the Dashwood family.
